Mercedes-Benz was founded by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler in Mannheim in the year 1886. The company’s headquarters is situated in Stuttgart, Germany. Its main products are Automobiles, Trucks, Buses and Internal combustion engines. The Mercedes Benz automobile was first marketed in the year 1901 by Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft. Mercedes Benz was the first to introduce many technological and safety innovations that later became common in other vehicles. Mercedes-Benz is one of the oldest automotive brands still in existence today.

The most significant model of the year 2010 was Mercedes Benz SlS AMG. In 1924 from sheer economic necessity, Benz and DMG signed an Agreement of Mutual Interest. Although both the companies retained their original identities, the agreement was valid until the year 2000. The companies merged with relative ease on June 28, 1926. However the products of DMG appeared under new brand name Mercedes at the turn of the century.
